The first part of any medical semi-permanent make up process is a consultation. A visit to our Canterbury clinic will enable us to discuss in detail the look you want to achieve and what we would recommend for you. We will also address any questions you may have regarding the nipple reconstruction or scalp micro pigmentation process.  Once you are happy and we have an idea of the look you are aiming for, we draw the areola or hairline on with a makeup pencil. We will then begin the tattoo process when you are completely happy with the proposed look.

For male and female clients who need either partial/full reconstruction or darkening of the areola colour.

The areola if first drawn on with a pencil to demonstrate the shape and position and when the client is satisfied with the placement a selection of colours will be implanted into the skin using shading and highlighting techniques to create a 3D affect.

Depending on scarring involved and the condition of the skin it can take between 1 and 3 sessions to get to your desired final result.

We can also work on softening and relaxing any hard scar tissue around the breast and also the donor site.

Prior to the treatment, you will have a personal consultation. We will need to understand what surgery or treatments you have had.

We will then discuss your desired outcome from the treatment and what you want to achieve. We’ll naturally take into account factors such as your skin tone and breast shape and size.

Shape and colours will then be drawn onto your skin using highlighting and shading techniques, to ensure you are completely happy with your desired result. Tattooing can create an incredibly realistic 3D affect. Straight after your first appointment the area will look darker in appearance. However, this will soften in a few days.

What is it?

Scalp micro pigmentation, is colour that is tattooed into the skin, creating a look that does not wash off. It is a revolutionary method of inserting pigment into the dermal layer of the skin in order to enhance facial features or your scalp, giving the illusion of stubble or a more dense hair line.

It can be used for alopecia clients, male and female pattern baldness, and crown balding, thinning of hair, strip and FUA scars post reconstruction surgery, general scars and also it can be used to recreate eyebrows and eyelashes on men and women with all skin tones.

A replicated scalp can help with self-esteem and stops men from hiding their hair loss under a cap.

Helen offers several different types of micro-pigmentation for both male and female clients, depending upon the hair style and extent of hair loss. Read more

Every new semi-permanent make up service requires a follow up 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment.

In this appointment we will assess the healed results. There may be patches of colour that have come away during the healing process, the colour may be lighter then you desire or you may decide to be a bit bolder with the shape. This treatment is there to perfect and make any little adjustments needed.
